There is a contest happening where programmers are attempting to predict the stock market with AI and machine learning. There is a score board for it, and people are getting better. It is kind of frightening.
It is insane that anyone would ever attempt this, but it is awesome! I am reminded of the movie Pi where the gentleman figures it all out, everything goes insane, and is chased by Hasidic Jews and then everything goes back to normal and he gives up math.

I have a friend from Computer Science House that predicted the Cryptocurrency market and made millions with a simple python script. He now resides peacefully with his wife and kids and works on his own computer projects, independently wealthy. He even got good at poker and won tournaments in Las Vegas. He gave up his career as Principal Software Architect at Fedora.
I believe ANYTHING is possible.
